Yeh I heard it called both the Flatiron District and Chelsea. I roamed around from 14th to 23rd, from 8th to Madison. So I was kinda in both. Chelsea seemed a catchier title.
of course it is. Chelsea is such a huge juxtaposition. On 9th ave from 17th to 23rd you have high end shops, middle income co-ops , bodegas and two housing projects next to condo delvelopments
Beautiful.

love the pics but just a nit pick: this neighborhood is not Chelsea its Flatiron.
Chelsea is west of 5th (and some say 6th) avenues from 14th to 28th streets
14-17th streets and 28th through 34th are in dispute with many of my realtor friends but they all agree Chelsea is west of 5th/6th avenues
