I really like these! I love the last line of the first poem. I actually wrote a poem about my dad (who died in '81) in which I say "the air still ringing with your last breath."

In the second poem, I like the way youth is described as savoring the anticipation of things more than the things themselves. The gusto involved in wanting them, like a foot on a gas pedal.

I wrote "Youth" as I was about to fall asleep the other night...remembering how I used to get rushes from such small things. Glad that came thru in the poem.
