is a song about a shark
walking down a street
with a man in his mouth.
He strolls among the shops
and picks out a new tie
at a haberdashers,
walking down a street
with a man in his mouth.
He strolls among the shops
and picks out a new tie
at a haberdashers,
All as the man flails
and pleads to god
and his mother for help,
Until finally an officer
of the law stops the shark
and says, "Nice tie."
and pleads to god
and his mother for help,
Until finally an officer
of the law stops the shark
and says, "Nice tie."
I know that shark. I know the man in his mouth. I know that tie. I know too much.
Your poem takes me there.
Thanks.

Excellent poem. I like it. Although my city is not that cruel yet.

I don't live near or in the city. My town has a kelpie dog strolling down the main street, with a lamb in its mouth. If saunters on until it reaches the school oval, releases the lamb and watches over the children as they argue over who will get the lamb to follow them home.
