I completely agree. Your last line especially struck a chord with me. We really cannot incarcerate our way to freedom. This is true in so many aspects of our lives as Americans, not just in relation to drugs. I tell my more conservative friends all the time, you can not legislate morality. I don't care how many laws you put on the books, you cannot force people to share your moral views. And throwing people in jail is not the answer. I am not sure I know exactly what the answer is, but that one is obviously not working. :(


Marijuana is harmless for most people, but we do need to get things like heroin and crack off the streets, I would think.
